Order Only: Parchmentwork
Jun. 9th, 2011 10:42 pmI shall be only too glad to close the books on this term. What a fortnight!
For the first time I can remember I've been asked to sign off on the records for three students who've left us early. In fact, four have left if one counts young Mr Boot, and it feels to me as though he ought to count, though I was not obliged to file any parchmentwork for him nor given a chance even to check him over before he left us.
And, of course, there's a fifth child--Miss Abbott--who shan't be completing the term.
That was and is too terrible take in.
At least in Mr Wood's case, the early departure is a mark of success. Well deserved by all accounts, and I wish him all the best.
